The Wisconsin Library Association (WLA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Plumer Lovelace III has been named Executive Director. Mr. Lovelace will lead their efforts to help strengthen library services for the citizens of Wisconsin. Lovelace is a seasoned executive who has over 17 years of experience in association management; much of that time has been spent providing leadership and advocacy for non-profits. WLA President Paula Ganyard said, "The WLA Board of Directors looks forward to working with Plumer. He will be a strong and an effective leader for WLA as we work to strengthen the Association. He has a passion for creating a culture of innovation, which I think is exactly what WLA needs right now.” Lovelace replaces Lisa Strand who left WLA last December to pursue another career opportunity. The WLA Foundation Silent Auction returns for the 2013 WLA Conference in Green Bay. Proceeds benefit the Campaign for Wisconsin Libraries. To make the auction a success, we need your help! Do you find yourself creating handcrafted items that you don’t have room for at home? Cook or bake? Why not donate these items to the WLAF auction – we’d love to put your items out for bids! Take a look at our contributors’ guidelines, and then complete the form below.
