Romance Writers of America (RWA) -
RWA is a professional organization of romance authors (published and aspiring) and it presents the RITA awards  which recognize outstanding published romance fiction.  Check out the bookseller/librarian’s section for romance statistics (industry and readership) plus definitions of the genre.  

RT Book Reviews Magazine -
Reviews & sensuality ratings for romances plus an awards section including Reviewers’ Choice Best Book Awards and Career Achievement Best Author Awards

All About Romance (AAR) -
For and by romance readers, this site features reviews with sensuality ratings, commentary, and interviews.  In the Reader’s Choice section is an If You Like… feature (search by author or by subgenre).  Plus an Annual Poll with winners of Best Romance and Best Romance Characters in a variety of categories can be found at

Reviews, author read-a-like lists, themed lists, reader’s advisory articles plus Award Winners Lists of RITA and Romantic Times magazine winners.

Booklist & Library Journal each have romance reviews & best lists for the romance genre.  The September 15 issue of Booklist is the special romance issue which includes their Top Ten Romance Fiction article but the magazine reviews romances in each issue (reviewers include John Charles, Shelley Mosley, Diana Tixier Herald, and Lynne Welch).  Library Journal reviews romances quarterly (reviewer Kristen Ramsdell) and includes a list of best in genre in December or January issue.  You may want to search the EBSCO Masterfile Premier database through BadgerLink to find these articles/reviews (try an author search for reviewers).
